HEJ AND HALLO.
Nice that you
found your
way here.

My name is Marie and I am a german journalist based in Stockholm, Sweden.
The day after my 18th birthday I took the train from my hometown Heidelberg to Stockholm because I had always dreamed of living in Pippi Longstockings land. After two years of working in cafés and learning Swedish, I enrolled in the journalism programme at Stockholm University. Instead of moving to Berlin to pursue the cool, artsy life I had once imagined, I decided to stay in Sweden after I took my exam. And thanks to yoga, my bike, homecooked meals and some very kind, creative and not so cold Swedes do I like my life here a lot, even during winters.
Today, I work as a (video-) reporter, producer and stringer, mainly with Swedish and German Public Service television, collecting stories that go far beyond the idyllic images of Bullerby and Villa Villekulla.
Feel free to reach out if you need help with conducting, filming or editing interviews, getting in touch with people in Sweden, researching, scouting locations or protagonists, planning productions, fact-checking, translating, creating connections across country borders or anything else media-related that just YOU need help with.
